Rugby Boost Safeguarding Policy
At Rugby Boost, we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care. We aim to protect children from harm, abuse, and neglect by following child protection guidelines and procedures.
Safeguarding Measures:
- We follow child protection guidelines from *‘What to do if you’re worried that a child is being abused.’*
- Parents and children are informed of these policies, which are regularly reviewed.
- We take all allegations of abuse seriously.
Handling Disclosures:
If a child discloses abuse:
1. Listen, take it seriously, and reassure the child.
2. Avoid asking leading questions or making promises.
3. Record the disclosure in the child’s words and report it to the CPO.
Reporting Allegations Against Staff:
Staff must report concerns about colleagues’ behavior to the CPO. The CPO will record and investigate the allegation, involving external agencies if necessary. The investigation will be documented, and appropriate action will be taken. False or malicious claims may result in disciplinary action.
Staff Training and Safe Practices:
- All staff receive child protection training and are aware of their responsibilities.
- Staff are recruited with full background checks, including enhanced DBS.
- Staff are trained on appropriate child interactions, avoiding unnecessary physical contact, and ensuring no staff member is left alone with a child where possible.
Staff Support:
Rugby Boost supports staff involved in safeguarding matters, offering guidance and assistance when needed.
We are dedicated to working with parents and safeguarding authorities to ensure children’s safety while maintaining fair processes for staff.
Terms & Conditions
Bookings:
Bookings are subject to these Terms and Conditions, including those on our website. Advance booking is required for all activities to guarantee a place. Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to minimum and maximum participant numbers. Full completion of booking forms is mandatory. Rugby Boost Ltd is not responsible if forms are incomplete or if a child cannot complete an activity due to physical limitations.
Refund Policy:
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the activity are fully refundable. Within 7 days, bookings are non-refundable. Requests to change dates or venues will be considered, subject to an administrative fee. No refunds will be provided for disruptive participants, inability to grasp skills, or voluntary withdrawal from activities. Refunds will not be granted for cancellations due to extreme weather, travel bans, government regulations, or other force majeure events.
Film & Photography:
Photographs and videos may be taken during activities for promotional purposes. Parents/guardians who do not wish for their child to be filmed must inform Rugby Boost in writing before the activity starts.
Promotions:
Promotional codes must be used in accordance with the terms of the promotion and these Terms and Conditions.
Medical Information:
All medical conditions must be disclosed at the time of booking and shared with the lead coach at the activity.
Safeguarding:
All coaches have current child protection certification and DBS checks. Any disclosures or concerns about child welfare will be handled according to our safeguarding policy.
Health & Safety:
A risk assessment is conducted before activities at new venues. Coaches hold emergency aid certificates. By agreeing to these terms, parents give consent for necessary first aid to be administered. Protective safety equipment must be worn when instructed, and failure to comply may result in refusal of participation. Parents are responsible for ensuring children are dressed appropriately for the activity and weather.
Leaving an Activity:
Children will only be allowed to leave unaccompanied if written consent has been provided by the parent/guardian prior to the activity.
Complaints:
If you are dissatisfied, raise the issue with the senior coach at the activity. If unresolved, contact the Director of Rugby within 7 days via our Contact page. Refunds will only be issued if Rugby Boost Ltd is found to be in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
Personal Property:
Rugby Boost Ltd is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during activities. Please ensure children do not bring valuables to the venue.
Liability:
Rugby Boost Ltd holds Public Liability insurance. Other than cases of proven negligence resulting in death or personal injury, Rugby Boost Ltd's liability is limited to the booking fee paid.
Website Access:
We reserve the right to modify or remove services on our website without notice. We are not liable for website unavailability.
Intellectual Property:
You may not use any materials from our site for business purposes without a licence.
Website Content & Liability:
Content on our website is provided without guarantees of accuracy. We do not accept responsibility for third-party websites linked from ours.
Hacking & Viruses:

Health & Safety Policy
Rugby Boost is committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety for all staff, children, visitors, and others involved. We aim to exceed statutory requirements to ensure health and safety is always prioritized.
We comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Workplace (Health, Safety, and Welfare) Regulations 1992. All staff and individuals affected by our activities must take health and safety seriously. Any staff found to disregard safety practices will be subject to disciplinary action.
Staff responsibilities include:
- Ensuring their own health and safety and that of others.
- Reporting accidents, incidents, or hazards and assisting in investigations.
- Participating in health and safety training as required.
- Maintaining a safe environment.
The organisation will appoint a trained Health and Safety Officer to oversee these provisions, with ultimate responsibility resting on the Registered Person to ensure all activities are safe and hazard-free.
